Susan is a native Floridian and has lived in Bradenton since 1971. She started framing part time in a needlework shop in 1985 and has been framing ever since. She opened her own business in 2001 offering high quality custom picture and mirror framing. She offers a unique approach to the design process by bringing the framing and matting selections to you with her exclusive Mobile Shop-at-Home Showroom.

Susan earned her Certified Picture Framer® (CPF) designation in 2004 from the Professional Picture Framers Association (PPFA) and in 2009 earned her Master Certified Picture Framer® (MCPF) designation. The MCPF designation – the highest awarded in the industry by the PPFA – shows she has demonstrated superior framing skills, and passed the framing industries most comprehensive test of practical preservation standards and framing knowledge. She is the only MCPF on the west coast of FL, one of only three in the state and is among fewer than 60 MCPFs worldwide. She has also won numerous framing awards for her unique designs and top-notch techniques at both the state and international level. Susan specializes in three-dimensional (3-D) framing and shadowboxes. Some items she’s framed are sports jerseys and memorabilia, christening gowns, award and war medals and ribbons, drafting tools, guns and swords, jewelry, shovels and so much more. She also has a large call for framed mirrors but is accomplished in framing and preserving your fine art, photographs, needle art and of course you most cherished items.

Weather it has monetary value, historical value or sentimental value, you can rest assured that Susan only uses the best materials available for superior protection. All of her mats are 100% rag mat or lignin free alpha-cellulose composition (acid free) and offers UV filtering glass and acrylic that filter 97% or greater of ultraviolet light.

Susan, an active member of both the Manatee and Anna Maria Island Chambers of Commerce, the Better Business Council and the Executive Network of Manatee, is president of the ‘Sunshine State’ Chapter of the PPFA and serves on the National PPFA Chapter Relations Committee.

Susan and her husband Jim are active members of their church, Ss. Peter and Paul the Apostles in Bradenton and have a son who is currently serving in the US Army as a helicopter mechanic. They also enjoy putting their black lab “Knucklehead” through agility training.
