Your Thoughts Create Your World
April 11, 2008
April, 2008 Carol S. Batey Lifestyle Coach Namasté! Are you ready for a change in your life? I found this
quote in the What is Enlightenment magazine (Jan/March, 2007): “Our hearts are restless until we rest in the infinite.” Some say that the Infinite is the Mind of God. It is
my belief that I am able to become one with the Infinite, or one with my God, and there I can rest. In that rest, I focus on my spiritual path. In our earth patterns,
there are many seasons, just as there are with our life patterns. In my second book, In Due Season, I wrote, “Season—a suitable time: This is your season, if you claim it and
believe it”. Now this is your new season to birth a new creation into existence. Put your focus on birthing the creation you want to bring to pass, and it shall be done—in due
season. Last month we explored the thoughts in our mind. Did you recognize any negative patterns that you may want to change for inner growth? I asked for you to create
within a sacred space for the path you will follow. Have you? This is called “holding a space” for manifesting. Unity founder Charles Fillmore says, “God's greatest gift
to man is the power of thought, through which he can incorporate into his consciousness the Mind of God.” (Unity: A Quest for Truth, by Eric Butterworth, p. 49). Another wise
man and the founder of the Religious Science Church, Ernest Holmes, states, “. . . thought is an inner state of consciousness; it will be the condition.” And from Holy
Scripture, “As he thinketh in his heart, so is he.” (Proverbs 23:7 (KJV)—a powerful word from God to us! What are you thinking inside your heart that is manifesting
outward? What's planted in your heart right now? Is it for your highest good, or not? Authors Jerry and Esther Hicks share insights from the teachings of Abraham, a
non-physical guide of Esther's. On pg 26 of Ask and It is Given, they are told, “Whatever you are giving your attention to causes you to emit a vibration, and the vibrations
that you offer equals your asking, which equals your point of attraction”. I looked up the word “emit”. It means "to send forth" (light, heat, sound, etc., which are all
vibrations)—creating a response of either harmony or discord in all things. If I desire a thing or want a new experience, I put my thoughts toward that idea. In a daily
spiritual communion with God, my words speak of the new attractions I want in my life. As the Hicks’ continue to tell us, The Law of Attraction is “…the basis of your
world, your Universe, and All-That-Is. Things of like vibration are drawn to each other.” (pg. 309) What are you drawing to you or attracting? Personally, in 2008, I want to
attract a spiritual/soul mate to me. When I leave my home, I consciously emit the vibration that will attract this likeness to me. Exercise Can you see
yourself with your inner mind's eye drawing everything to you that you desire? Hebrews 11:1 (NKJV) shares, Now faith (faith in this present moment), is the substance of
things hoped for (whatever it is that you want to come to pass), the evidence of things not seen (something that's not visible to our eyes). What's not visible to your eyes
that you see in your mind? Unity founder Charles Fillmore taught his people how to use the Twelve Powers of Man, which he described as gifts from God. I introduce the
first one, which is Faith. Fillmore taught this powerful affirmation, “Faith draws my good from the invisible to the visible.” You may want to repeat this daily more than
once. By activating your Faith within you, you choose a positive thought pattern. Then you are ready and able to create your world. In the book Ask and It Is Given
(Esther and Jerry Hicks), “Deliberate Creation" is defined as follows: “Focusing on what is intended while being consciously aware of one’s vibrational state of being and
connection to one’s Source.” The “deliberate” part is focusing of thought with the intention of feeling alignment with one’s desires. This is how your world is created.
One of the most important steps to learn and master in this is the Art of Allowing. Once you have matched (harmonized) your vibration with what you want, you act as if the
accomplishment of your desire is already so. Deliberately choosing thoughts that feel good—in this case, feeling that you have already achieved your desire—you are aligned with
your Source. That way, you allow your creation to take place. Can you do that? Let's ponder this process of mental allowing. What is the opposite? Many think of blocking.
We either let things through, or we block them from reaching the other end, (Think of a football player blocking, for example). What block are you creating? So you
want the right and perfect world for you? Then focus on what it is you want to happen! That's holding a space for the change to occur. What happens when you have been
faithful, holding that space, but nothing as you see it is happening? Does that mean a No from your Universal God? Or does it mean “not yet”? Maybe it's not your season yet.
It may be a time for your character to develop until you are ready, until a suitable time or a season has passed; then your Source or God will grant you permission to move
forward. Exercise Examine your heart’s motivation for wanting your heart’s desires. See your Faith in the color royal blue, and picture it in the center of your
brain. Open yourself up to your truth center and higher thought power. Look within your soul's center, where God resides in your soul, and receive your answers from Spirit.
Then create again your blueprint. You are the artist and writer of your destiny! So I ask you again, what is the inner activity of your thoughts? Are your thoughts from
your heart, moving into your mind and soul? How pure are your inner thoughts and the Words you speak? We turn again to Ernest Holmes: “The renewing of the mind is a
scientific act.” He also wrote, “We must place the word where it belongs; it is always first, before all else, in the beginning.” (Science of Mind, Feb., 2007, p. 26). Holmes
continues, “We find, then, that the Word, which is the inner activity of thought, comes first in the creative services, and all else comes from the effect of the Word
operating upon a Universal substance. We must, if we wish to prove the power of the Spirit in our lives, look not to outside things or effects, but to the Word alone.” Wow!
How do you picture yourself at this time and in this place? The Book of Genesis, the first chapter of the Holy Bible, states that we were made in the image of God from His
Words. The spoken words! We are created to be “in his image and likeness”, so therefore, just like God, we can speak our words and things appear for our good—and sometimes not
so good. Meister Eckhart, Thomas Troward, Myrtle Fillmore, and many other religious philosophers agree that we are part of the One Mind of the Infinite God, and that our
words and our thoughts are the activity of that "One Mind” in our consciousness. The power that holds the planets in their place is the same power that flows through man, as
Ernest Holmes attests. It is my hope that you, my dears, take the time in thoughts of consciousness and ponder these statements. The Word comes first in the creative
process, and all else comes from the effect of the Word. So how important do you think your words are that flow from your heart out to the Universe? You don't have to be a
religious person who goes to church. You just have to desire a change of heart and improve the words that come out of your mouth to create your heart’s desires! It's
now four months into the New Year. So I ask you this question: What are you creating or thinking in your heart? Is it really your desire, or do you want to create something
else? My dear ones, you are the creative center within your soul. It all starts with you—with a thought, then a word, and finally, an action. No one can give your
heart’s desire to you. Creation is your birthright from when God spoke life into you and made you just like Him. You have untapped abilities, so start today to awaken yourself
to your truthfulness and create your dreams and reality for the rest of the year! I leave this affirmation with you, “I am a new creation with God today. I can
redirect my thoughts into positive and direct energy for recreating a new world for myself.”
